Quick Tips for Travelling Light
As a backpacker, packing very minimalistic is a must as carrying everything yourself, sometimes for long periods of time, can be challenging if you’re backpack weighs 25kg! Following this travel checklist will ensure you pack only the essentials, the most important items for your trip and not overpack.
I would always recommend investing in some packing cubes. If you’re unsure what these are, they are a lifesaver! Whether you’re a backpacker, going on a girls trip away or a few weeks family holiday, these cubes will reduce the items you take and keep everything neatly packed away.
Click here for the cubes that we use! Without them I wouldn’t know where anything was in my backpack. You get multiple sized cubes for separating larger items, underwear and even a cosmetic bags. See below what they look like!
As well as the packing cubes, we also have a handy travel wallet that keeps all of our travel documents, travel cards, money, and passports in one secure place. The wallet is small and easy to hide in your bag for any type of journeys. This way, you can keep all your important documents and money safe and close to you at all times! (It also has a RFID blocker, so your contactless cards can’t be used through it!)
Click here for the one that we use. It comes in a range of colour and styles too! There’s plenty of room for multiple passports, documents, keys, money and cards. You could even put some headphones and charging wires in here too!
I hope this blog will help you pack a little better for your next upcoming trip, wherever that is! Check out our other blog ‘ 6 Easy Things To Do Before You Travel’ for a bit more help with starting planning and packing for that trip.
